The weather is generally fine over the south China coastal areas.

At 5 a.m., the tropical depression over Luzon Strait was centred about 170 kilometres south of Gaoxiong. It is forecast to move north at about 12 kilometres per hour in the general direction of Taiwan.

Fine and hot. There will be one or two isolated showers. The maximum temperature will be around 32 degrees. Light to moderate southwesterly winds.
