Winter monsoon brought appreciably cooler weather to southern China yesterday. Locally, temperatures over most parts of the territory yesterday morning were 4 to 6 degrees lower than those of the day before. It was dry and the relative humidity generally fell below 50 per cent during the day. The monsoon is expected to persist over southern China in the next couple of days.

Mainly fine and dry. Cold in the morning. The minimum temperature in the urban areas will be about 12 degrees and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. The maximum temperature will be around 17 degrees. Moderate to fresh north to northeasterly winds.

Outlook : Mainly fine and dry in the following few days. Rather cool in the morning.
