The winter monsoon will strengthen gradually and bring cold weather to southern China in the next few days. Locally, temperatures over most parts of the territory this morning were around three degrees lower than those of yesterday. The minimum temperature in the urban areas was about 12 to 13 degrees. It was around 10 degrees over most parts of the New Territories while that at Ta Kwu Ling was only 8 degrees.

Fine and dry. Rather cool in the morning. The maximum temperature will be around 17 degrees during the day. Moderate northerly winds, occasionally fresh over offshore waters and on high ground.

Outlook : Cold weather persisting into midweek next week with morning temperatures falling to around 10 degrees.
