A cold front is affecting the northern part of the South China Sea. The intense winter monsoon behind the cold front brings appreciably cooler weather to southern China. Locally, temperatures this morning in most parts of the territory were about 4 to 6 degrees lower than those of yesterday.

Mainly fine and dry. The maximum temperature will be about 19 degrees during the day. Rather cool tonight with temperatures falling to around 13 degrees. Fresh northerly winds, strong over offshore waters and on high ground.

Outlook : Cold during the weekend with temperatures falling to around 11 degrees.
