A ridge of high pressure is bringing mainly fine weather to southeastern China. Meanwhile, showers associated with a trough of low pressure are affecting the northern part of the South China Sea.

At 8 p.m., Severe Tropical Storm Sanvu was centred about 550 kilometres south-southwest of Iwo Jima. It is forecast to move north at about 12 kilometres per hour in the general direction of the seas south of Japan.

It will be cloudy. A few showers tomorrow morning. The minimum temperature will be about 25 degrees. Sunny intervals in the afternoon with a maximum temperature of around 29 degrees. Moderate to fresh easterly winds.
