A
ridge of high pressure is bringing mainly
fine weather to southeastern China. Meanwhile,
showers associated with a
trough of low pressure are affecting the northern part of the South China Sea.
At 2 a.m., Typhoon Sanvu was centred about 470 kilometres south-southwest of Iwo Jima. It is forecast to move north at about 12 kilometres per hour in the general direction of the seas south of Japan.

It will be cloudy. A few showers at first. Sunny intervals in the afternoon. Temperatures will range between 25 and 29 degrees. Moderate to fresh easterly winds.
