A cold front is affecting the northern part of the South China Sea. The intense winter monsoon behind the front brings appreciably cooler weather to southern China. Locally, temperatures this morning in most parts of the territory were about 4 to 6 degrees lower than those of yesterday.

Sunny periods and dry. The maximum temperature will be about 18 degrees during the day. Rather cool tonight. Temperatures will fall to around 13 degrees. Fresh northerly winds, strong over offshore waters and on high ground.

Outlook : Cold during the weekend. Temperatures will fall to around 11 degrees.
