Student Project Competition
Deadline for Project Submission
extended to 15 February 2008

In view of the impending Lunar New Year holidays, the deadline for submission of the student project competition has been extended to Friday, 15 February 2008.

The theme of the competition is "Climate Change - What can we do?". The objective is to enhance understanding and interest in science. Through activities including information collection, research and analysis, the competition is also aimed at strengthening students' scientific thinking, critical reasoning and communication skills.

Furthermore, in collaboration with the British Council, a second phase of the project competition has been introduced with a view to recruiting Climate Champions. Students (if aged 15 to 18) entering the competition will have the chance of being selected, irrespective of the language used in their project report.

Details can be found at http://www.science.gov.hk/eng/info-stcomp.htm and http://www.britishcouncil.org/hongkong-creativity-and-society-science-climate-cool-climate_champion.htm .
