Observatory staff awarded the Secretary for the Civil Service's Commendation
Two Hong Kong Observatory colleagues Miss Mok Lai-ping and Mr Kwok Chuen-sai were awarded the Secretary for the Civil Service's Commendation on 21 November.  They were commended on their meritorious performance in the past years.

Director of the Hong Kong Observatory, Mr Shun Chi-ming, and Assistant Director, Mrs Hilda Lam, also attended the awards presentation ceremony to express the Observatory's appreciation to Miss Mok and Mr Kwok, and to share their joy.

The Secretary for the Civil Service's Commendation Award Scheme was introduced in early 2004 to give due recognition to civil servants for consistently outstanding performance.  A total of 77 civil service colleagues were granted awards under the Scheme this year.
