Mr. H Y Mok, Senior Scientific Officer of the Observatory, joined the expert mission of the World Meteorological Organization to visit the Kuwait Meteorological Department
At the invitation of the World Meteorological Organization, Mr H.Y. Mok, Senior Scientific Officer of the Hong Kong Observatory, joined an expert mission to visit the Kuwait Meteorological Department on 10-13 January 2010 to draw up recommendations on enhancing the meteorological services of Kuwait. Also taking part in the mission were Dr. Tokiyoshi Toya and Dr. Yinka Adebayo of the World Meteorological Organization and Mr. A.Majeed H. Isa. of the Bahrain Meteorological Department.
During the visit, the expert mission team discussed with the staff of various divisions of the Kuwait Meteorological Department to understand and assess the current status of the Department for making recommendations to enhance the meteorological services of Kuwait.
