Launching of New Automatic Weather Station
for the Kowloon City District

Ir. Wong Kwok-keung, the Chairman of the Kowloon City District Council, Mr. Lam Chiu-ying, Director of the Hong Kong Observatory and Ms. Kwan Hiu-yeung, Acting District Officer of the Kowloon City District jointly officiated the opening of the automatic weather station for the Kowloon City District on 11 April 2008.  The new station is first one established in Kowloon under the Observatory's "One District One Station" programme.

The automatic weather station for Kowloon City District provides the latest temperature readings round-the-clock.  The information can be accessed from the Observatory's "Regional Weather" webpage at: http://www.hko.gov.hk/wxinfo/
