Public course on "Interpretation of Radar and Satellite Images"
The Hong Kong Observatory conducted a public course on "Interpretation of Radar and Satellite Images" at its headquarters on the mornings of 28 February and 7 March 2009. This 6-hour public course covered topics including the basics of radar and satellite, use and interpretation of radar and satellite images, and identification of severe weather.
Positive feedback from the audience was received. Most participants considered that the course was well-organized and enabled them to interpret more effectively the radar and satellite information available on the Observatory website.
