Delegates of National Meteorological Centre, China Meteorological Administration visits the Hong Kong Observatory

Five delegates from the National Meteorological Centre (NMC), China Meteorological Administration paid a visit to the Hong Kong Observatory from 4 to 7 March to exchange experience on weather forecasting and the training of forecasters.  Apart from visiting various facilities of the Observatory, the delegation also attended shift duties together with the Observatory's forecasters for a more-in-depth understanding of the Observatory's forecasting operations.  Mr. Hu Xin, Deputy Director-General of NMC, commended the staff of the Observatory for their conscientiousness and efficiency.  He also spoke highly of the weather forecasting and warning services provided by the Observatory that can meet well the needs of the public.
