The Hong Kong Observatory today (21 September 2007) launched a webpage on weather information for hiking and mountaineering: http://www.weather.gov.hk/sports/wxhiking.shtml

This new webpage provides the latest weather forecast and warnings, regional weather observations, lightning locations, rainfall distribution, radar imageries, UV index and other relevant information to hikers and mountaineers. This webpage is designed to facilitate the planning of these outdoor activities and for users to take appropriate precautions when necessary. This webpage also provides some useful hyperlinks to related Government Departments to facilitate the access of relevant information.
