Lightning activity is most common in Hong Kong during August. Unstable weather conditions may bring lightning and thunderstorms. Once in a while, waterspouts may appear over Hong Kong waters. This photograph shows a waterspout over Deep Bay as viewed from across the border at Shenzhen, 27 July 2010.
