Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. An active southwest monsoon and a trough of low pressure are bringing heavy showers and thunderstorms to Guangdong. Locally, more than 30 millimetres of rainfall were generally recorded over the territory this morning, and rainfall even exceeded 140 millimetres over Sai Kung District. Weather forecast for today Cloudy with occasional showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavier in some areas. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, occasionally strong on high ground at first. Outlook : Showers will be heavy at times tomorrow. The weather will remain unsettled on Wednesday and Thursday. Showers will ease off gradually in the following couple of days.
