Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. Thundery showers associated with upper-air disturbances and a southwesterly airstream are affecting the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Locally, more than 20 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over Tsuen Wan, Tsing Yi and parts of Lantau Island in the past few hours. Weather forecast for today Mainly cloudy with a few showers. More showers in some areas with squally thunderstorms at first. Sunny intervals in the afternoon. Moderate southwesterly winds. Outlook : Very hot with sunny periods in the next couple of days. More showers in some areas with thunderstorms later on Monday. The weather will become unsettled midweek next week.
