Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

An anticyclone aloft is bringing mainly fine weather to the
coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China
Sea.

At 2 a.m., Tropical Depression Jangmi was centred about 250
kilometres northwest of Yap. It is forecast to move
north-northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour across the
western North Pacific to the east of the Philippines and
intensify gradually.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly fine. The minimum temperature will be about 29
degrees in the morning. Very hot during the day with a
maximum temperature of around 34 degrees in the urban areas,
and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories.
Moderate south to southwesterly winds.

Outlook : Extremely hot during the day on Friday.
Temperatures will reach 36 to 37 degrees in the New
Territories. A few showers and thunderstorms later. There
will still be a few showers on Saturday and Sunday and high
temperature weather will be alleviated. Sunny periods in the
following couple of days, hot during the day.
