Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. A broad trough of low pressure is bringing showers and thunderstorms to the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of Guangdong. At noon, Tropical Storm Narra was centred about 300 kilometres west of Haikou. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the vicinity of Beibu Wan. Meanwhile, Tropical Depression Gaenari was centred about 110 kilometres east-northeast of Xiamen. It is forecast to move west slowly across the vicinity of Taiwan Strait and dissipate gradually. On the other hand, Super Typhoon Saudel was centred about 810 kilometres east-southeast of Okinawa. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 28 kilometres per hour towards the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands. Tropical Depression Atsani was centred about 670 kilometres north of Yap. It is forecast to move north-northeast at about 18 kilometres per hour across the western North Pacific. Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight Mainly cloudy with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms. Very hot with sunny intervals in the afternoon. Moderate south to southwesterly winds, occasionally fresh. Outlook : There will be occasional showers and squally thunderstorms in the next couple of days. Showers will be heavier in some areas. Becoming very hot with one or two showers on Friday.
