Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. A band of intense thundery showers is affecting Guangdong. Meanwhile, an easterly airstream is affecting the coastal areas. At 5 a.m., Typhoon Jangmi was centred about 650 kilometres south of Okinawa. It is forecast to move north-northwest at about 14 kilometres per hour towards the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands. Weather forecast for today Mainly cloudy with showers. Showers will be heavy at times at first with squally thunderstorms. Showers will ease off gradually during the day. Hot with sunny intervals. The maximum temperature will be around 32 degrees. Moderate east to southeasterly winds. Outlook : Very hot during the day with sunny periods in the next few days.
