Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a trough of low pressure are affecting the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. At 4 p.m., Tropical Storm Mekkhala was centred about 230 kilometres south-southwest of Tokyo. It is forecast to move east-northeast at about 55 kilometres per hour across the seas south of Japan and transform into an extratropical cyclone gradually. Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow Mainly cloudy with a few showers and thunderstorms. Showers will be heavier in some areas tomorrow. Temperatures will range between 27 and 31 degrees. Moderate south to southwesterly winds. Outlook : There will still be showers on Monday. Becoming very hot with sunny periods and one or two showers midweek next week.
