Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. The northeast monsoon is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Besides, Tropical Depression Surigae has intensified into a tropical storm. At 4 a.m., Surigae was centred about 1240 kilometres southeast of Okinawa. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 22 kilometres per hour across the western North Pacific to the east of the Philippines. Weather forecast for today Mainly fine. Cloudy periods in the morning and at night. The minimum temperature will be about 27 degrees. Hot during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 32 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Moderate easterly winds. Outlook : Mainly fine and very hot for the rest of this week to midweek next week. Cloudy periods in the morning and at night at the Mid-Autumn Festival and the day after.
