9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: Under the influence of an anticyclone aloft, it will still be very hot over Guangdong today and tomorrow. With the anticyclone weakening and under the influence of upper-air disturbances, there will be showers and thunderstorms over southern China in the latter part of this week. The anticyclone aloft is expected to cover Guangdong again early next week. Showers will ease off and the weather will improve over the region. A broad trough of low pressure is expected to affect the central to northern part of the South China Sea in the middle and latter parts of next week. Besides, Tropical Cyclone Mekkhala will move towards the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands in the next couple of days, and Tropical Cyclone Higos will move towards the seas south of Japan.
