The Hong Kong Observatory enhanced the tropical cyclone track information webpage on 23 August 2010 with the following:

(1) display of distance and bearing relative to Hong Kong for a tropical cyclone within the area bounded by 10-30N and 105-125E; and

(2) provision of more frequent updates, at hourly interval, of the tropical cyclone track when Standby Signal No. 1 is in force.
