Weather Situation:
An intense northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters.

At 11 p.m., Tropical Storm Kirogi with maximum sustained winds of about 65 kilometres per hour near its centre was located near 11.6 degrees north, 111.3 degrees east. It is forecast to move west or west-northwest at about 22 kilometres per hour in the general direction of the southern part of Vietnam.

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
Northeast force 6 to 7, occasionally force 8.
A few rain patches.
Rough to very rough seas.

Northeast force 8 to 9.
Very rough to high seas.

Shanwei, South of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao:
Northeast force 7 to 8.
Rough to very rough seas.

Outlook for the next 48 hours
North to northeasterly winds of force 6 to 7, force 8 in east at first. Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
