The Cheung Chau wind station is located at the southern part of Cheung Chau (please see the map below for the location of the wind station).  The station has very good exposure in all directions as it is situated in an outlying island free from the impact of high mountains or high-rise buildings in its vicinity.  Its annual wind rose is representative of the prevailing wind in Hong Kong throughout the year.
