The Sai Kung wind station is located inside the Marine East Division Base Compound of the Hong Kong Police Force at Sai Kung (please see the map below for the location of the wind station).  To its east is the Sai Kung Hoi, while there are mountain ranges to its west.  The station is more exposed to winds from the eastern side of the station, as revealed in the annual wind rose for the station.
