The Wetland Park wind station is located inside the Hong Kong Wetland Park near Tin Shui Wai in northwestern New Territories (please see the map below for the location of the wind station).   To its northeast and southeast, there is a large area of natural open wetland.  But high-rise buildings exist to its southwest and northwest.  The station is more exposed to winds from the northeast and southeast sectors, as revealed in the annual wind rose for the station.
