Climate Science Webinar

The Hong Kong Observatory organized the Climate Science Webinar on 17 December 2022. Local and overseas climate experts were invited to share their knowledge and latest research findings on the science of climate change in various respects such as extreme heat, precipitation, tropical cyclone and storm surge, etc. The importance of cross-sector collaborations on climate risk and impact assessment (e.g. health impact due to high temperatures) was highlighted. Renowned scholar Professor Gabriel Lau delivered the keynote speech for the webinar, while the Observatory presented the latest climate projections for Hong Kong.
