Observatory completed the scope extension of ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 certification

The Observatory’s Information Technology (IT) service management system received the International Organisation for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO/IEC) 20000-1:2018 certification for the first time in 2022. To enhance the service management of critical IT infrastructure, the Observatory gradually extended the scope of certification over the past two years, from the initial work on network and helpdesk services, to cover more services including connectivity gateways, databases, centralised server farms and server room management. The recent surveillance audit conducted by the certification body was successful, affirming the Observatory’s dedication to high-quality IT service management.
