"Cool Met Stuff" : "Special Series for Mangkhut : Record Breaking Typhoon"

9 November 2018

Mangkhut hit Hong Kong in September 2018 and it necessitated the issuance of the highest tropical cyclone warning, Hurricane Signal No. 10, in two consecutive years. With ferocious winds, extensive circulation and fast moving speed, Mangkhut is the most destructive storms to Hong Kong since Ellen in 1983. The destructive power of Mangkhut was comparable to other typhoons which brought widespread damages to Hong Kong in the past. These will be explained in the latest episode of "Cool Met Stuff".
