The Advent of the Multi-language “International Cloud Atlas”

Five official languages of the United Nations (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) were added into the “International Cloud Atlas” (ICA) website today (9 April), the English version of which was developed by the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) on behalf of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). The addition of languages allows people from more populations to appreciate the nature of clouds and better their understanding of atmospheric phenomena.

The ICA webpage categorizes clouds and atmospheric phenomena systematically, and shows outstanding photos from all over the world. In particular, nearly 60 photos were taken by Hong Kong people. Please click here to begin your experience.
