More Observatory’s datasets released on Government Public Sector Information (PSI) Portal (2021)

To facilitate wider use of its data, the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) has been releasing data in machine-readable format on HKO website since 2012. The data are also available on the PSI Portal (DATA.GOV.HK). With a view to opening up more data for free use by the public and private sector, HKO released today (28 June 2021) 6 new datasets:

Regional weather in Hong Kong – the latest 10-minute mean wind speed and wind direction and maximum gust
Regional weather in Hong Kong – the latest mean sea level pressure
Regional weather in Hong Kong – the latest global solar radiation, direct solar radiation, diffuse solar radiation
Regional weather in Hong Kong – the latest grass temperature
Daily mean wind speed
Daily prevailing wind direction

More Observatory’s datasets released on Government Public Sector Information (PSI) Portal (2021)

All datasets can be found in the HKO website. An Open Data Application Programming Interface (API) and the related documentation are also published to facilitate retrieval of the required data.
