“Hong Kong Observatory 140th Anniversary” dedicated webpage officially launched

2023 marks the 140th anniversary of the Hong Kong Observatory. To celebrate this moment, the Hong Kong Observatory launches the "Hong Kong Observatory 140th Anniversary" dedicated webpage today (Thursday, 23 March 2023) and welcomes the public to look back our 140 years journey with us.

Numbers of precious historical photos and videos are shown in the webpage which enables members of the public to have a glimpse of the evolution of the wide-ranging people-oriented services developed by the Observatory's staff members in the past 140 years, based on science and innovation, to respond to the ever-changing demands and expectation of the society. A quiz game is also available in the webpage for the visitors to test their knowledge on the Observatory and to obtain souvenir cards signed by the Director of the Hong Kong Observatory after the game.
