The term "Mercury retrograde" appears often, and some people even take it as a sign of why everything goes wrong. The so-called "retrograde" motion does not only happen to Mercury, but the actual movement of the planets has indeed never reversed. Everything is just an illusion as we observe from the earth. The latest episode of "Cool Met Stuff" explains the apparent retrograde motion of planets.
