Latest Developments in Global Climate Change

    CHAN Man-yee, Eliza

According to the “Arctic Climate Change Update 2021: Key Trends and Impacts”, published in May 2021, the increase in Arctic annual average surface temperature between 1971 and 2019 was three times the global average during the same period. There has been a net loss of land ice in all parts of the Arctic, particularly in Greenland. Climate change in the Arctic will affect the whole world, including the contribution to global sea level rise.
