The Observatory Joins Hands with Hong Kong People to Protect Dongjiang

A 10-member Hong Kong Observatory team took part in the "River Walk" organized by the Friends of the Earth on Sunday, 2 January 2011 - a fund-raising campaign to promote water conservation in Dongjiang. Mr W M Leung, Assistant Director, a member of the Observatory team as well as an officiating guest, explained to the participants the adverse impact on future water resources as a result of climate change, and urged everyone to be thrifty with the use of water.

The team's participation in the event was generously supported by the Director, Dr B Y Lee.
