Director visiting meteorological bureaus of Macao and Zhuhai

Mr. C.M. Shun, Director of the Hong Kong Observatory, accompanied by Messrs L.S. Lee and P.W. Chan, Senior Scientific Officers, visited Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau and Zhuhai Meteorological Bureau on 21 and 22 July respectively. The purpose of the visits included discussion of strengthening the collaboration between the organizations and enhancing the exchange of meteorological data. The various parties also shared the vision of further enhancing the meteorological observations over South China Sea and south China coastal areas. At Zhuhai, Mr. Shun visited the atmospheric observation experimental base at Jinwan and the weather radar station the Zhuhai airport, and experiences in meteorological observation.
