Typhoon Molave Brought Very Hot Weather

Fine weather over southern China coupled with northerly winds associated with Typhoon Molave brought very hot weather to the Pearl River Delta region today (July 18).

Locally, the maximum temperature recorded at the Hong Kong Observatory was 34.3 degrees, the highest so far this year. The temperatures over the New Territories were even higher, with 36 degrees in Sha Tin and Tseung Kwan O, and 37 degrees in Tuen Mun and Wetland Park.
