Recognition of Outstanding Voluntary Observing Ships in 2025

Under the Hong Kong Voluntary Observing Ship scheme led by the Hong Kong Observatory, participating vessels have been consistently reporting marine weather observations to global meteorological centres. These observations are crucial for maritime safety. In recognition some of these vessels' outstanding efforts during 2025, the HKO will be delighted to present awards at the Liaison Group for the Marine Community meeting towards the end of 2026. Vessels submitting 300–399 reports in 2025 will receive Gold Awards; those submitting 400–499 reports will receive Platinum Awards; and those submitting 500 or more reports will receive Diamond Awards.
