Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. An anticyclone aloft brought generally fine weather to Guangdong yesterday. Locally, the weather was sunny. It was dry and very hot during the day. Temperatures over most parts of the territory rose to 33 degrees or above. The anticyclone aloft will continue to bring mainly fine and very hot weather to southeastern China in the next couple of days. Besides, Severe Tropical Storm Surigae rapidly intensified into a super typhoon yesterday. At 11 p.m. last night, Surigae was centred about 170 kilometres east of Okinawa. It is forecast to move northeast at about 15 kilometres per hour across the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands. Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Monday, 28 Sep 2026) Mainly fine. Cloudy periods in the morning and at night. The minimum temperature will be about 28 degrees. Very hot during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 33 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Moderate southwesterly winds. Outlook : Mainly fine and very hot in the following couple of days. Sunny periods and still very hot during the day on the National Day. Cloudier with a few showers in the latter part of this week.
