A southerly airstream will bring hot weather to the region in the following couple of days. A trough of low pressure is expected to affect southern China in the middle and latter parts of this week. There will be occasional showers and thunderstorms over the region. Under the influence of the northeast monsoon associated with the trough of low pressure, temperatures will fall slightly over the region in the latter part of this week.
