9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: A fresh to strong northeast monsoon will continue to affect the coast of Guangdong today. It will be cloudier over the region. With an anticyclone aloft strengthening gradually, the weather over southern China will be mainly fine with temperatures rising over the weekend. Tropical Cyclone Fung-wong will intensify gradually and move towards the vicinity of Luzon in the next couple of days. It will then enter the northeastern part of the South China Sea. Under the influence of a dry replenishment of the northeast monsoon early to midweek next week, Fung-wong will have a higher chance of turning northwards in the general direction of the vicinity of Taiwan and weakening gradually. However, its intensity and location of the turn remain uncertain. Under the combined effect of the monsoon and Fung-wong, the weather will be windy and slightly cooler over the coast of southeastern China midweek next week. Besides, Tropical Cyclone Kalmaegi will move across the inland areas of Indo-China today and tomorrow and dissipate gradually.
