9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: Tropical Cyclone Podul will move across inland Guangdong and weaken progressively tomorrow. Its associated heavy squally showers and thunderstorms will affect the coastal areas of Guangdong in the next couple of days. There will be swells. With Podul departing and weakening, as well as the anticyclone aloft strengthening, the weather will be brighter over the region during the weekend. Meanwhile, a broad trough of low pressure is expected to form over the central to northern parts of the South China Sea, and an area of low pressure may develop within the broad trough of low pressure. The low pressure system will move northwards early next week, bringing unsettled weather to the coast of Guangdong to the vicinity of Beibu Wan.
