Weather Situation: The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal waters. Besides, the area of low pressure now over the seas east of Taiwan is bringing unsettled weather to the region. At noon, Severe Tropical Storm Fengshen with maximum sustained winds of about 110 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 17.4 degrees north, 110.7 degrees east. It is forecast to move west-southwest at about 12 kilometres per hour across the central part of the South China Sea.
