Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. A southerly airstream brought very hot weather to the coast of southern China yesterday. Locally, there were sunny intervals. Temperatures over many places rose to 33 degrees or above in the afternoon. An anticyclone aloft is expected to bring mainly fine weather to the northern part of the South China Sea today and tomorrow. It will be very hot over the coast of Guangdong. A trough of low pressure will edge closer to the coast of southern China on Saturday. There will be a few showers over the region. Weather forecast for Hong Kong Mainly cloudy. The minimum temperature will be about 28 degrees in the morning. Very hot with sunny periods apart from isolated showers during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 33 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Light to moderate southerly winds. Outlook : Sunny periods on Friday, very hot during the day. A few showers during the weekend. Winds will become moderate northeasterlies. Temperatures will fall slightly early next week.
