Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

The weather was very hot over Guangdong yesterday. Besides,
showers associated with a broad trough of low pressure
affected the region and the northern part of the South China
Sea yesterday. Locally, the weather was mainly cloudy with
isolated showers and thunderstorms. It was very hot in the
afternoon with sunny intervals during the day. The broad
trough of low pressure will continue to bring showers and
thunderstorms to the coast of southern China today and
tomorrow. Meanwhile, a hot southwesterly airstream will also
affect the region.

At 11 p.m. last night, Tropical Storm Co-May was centred
about 210 kilometres east-southeast of Nanjing. It is
forecast to move west-northwest at about 12 kilometres per
hour across the vicinity of Jiangsu.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Thursday, 31 Jul 2025)

Mainly cloudy with occasional showers and a few squally
thunderstorms. Showers will be heavier at first. Bright
periods in the afternoon. Temperatures will range between 27
and 31 degrees. Moderate southwesterly winds, occasionally
fresh offshore.

Outlook : Still a few showers on Friday. The weather will be
unsettled during the weekend to early next week. Showers
will be heavier at times with squally thunderstorms.
