Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

An active southwest monsoon is bringing showers and
thunderstorms to the coast of Guangdong and the northern
part of the South China Sea. Locally, more than 40
millimetres of rainfall were recorded over the northeastern
part of the New Territories in the afternoon.

Tropical Storm Gaemi has weakened into a tropical
depression. At 4 p.m., Gaemi was centred about 170
kilometres east-southeast of Wuhan. It is forecast to move
northwest at about 12 kilometres per hour across Hubei and
weaken further.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Cloudy with showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Showers
will be heavy at times. Temperatures will range between 27
and 30 degrees. Moderate to fresh south to southwesterly
winds, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground at
first.

Outlook : Showers and a few squally thunderstorms on Monday.
Showers will be heavy at times. Still a few showers midweek
next week.
