Weather Situation:
The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal
waters.
At 10 a.m., Typhoon Kalmaegi with maximum sustained winds of
about 145 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at
10.8 degrees north, 122.7 degrees east. It is forecast to
move west-northwest at about 22 kilometres per hour across
the central and southern parts of the Philippines.
Area forecasts for the next 24 hours
Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
Northeast force 5 to 6, occasionally force 7 at first.
A few rain patches.
Moderate to rough seas.
Nan'ao and Shanwei:
Northeast force 6 to 7.
Rough seas.
South of Hong Kong:
East to northeast force 6 to 7.
Rough seas.
Shangchuan Dao:
East to northeast force 6 to 7.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Rough seas.
Outlook for the following 48 hours
