Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. Under the influence of an anticyclone aloft, the weather is generally fine over Guangdong. Locally, temperatures over many places rose to 34 degrees or above in the afternoon. At 4 p.m., Tropical Storm Surigae was centred about 460 kilometres southeast of Osaka. It is forecast to move northeast at about 22 kilometres per hour across the seas south of Japan. Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow Mainly fine. The minimum temperature will be about 29 degrees tomorrow. The maximum temperature during the day will be around 34 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Extremely hot in some areas. Becoming cloudy with a few showers and chance of isolated thunderstorms later. Light to moderate southwesterly winds. Outlook : More showers in the following couple of days. High temperature weather will be alleviated. The weather will be brighter and slightly cooler in the morning early to midweek next week. The minimum temperatures will fall to 24 to 25 degrees.
