Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. An active southerly airstream is bringing showers and squally thunderstorms to the coast of Guangdong. At 8 p.m., Severe Tropical Storm Maysak was centred about 190 kilometres south-southwest of Nanning. It is forecast to move north-northwest at about 12 kilometres per hour across the vicinity of the coast of Guangxi to Vietnam. Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Showers will be heavier in some areas with squally thunderstorms tonight and at first tomorrow. The minimum temperature will be about 27 degrees. Bright periods during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 31 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds, occasionally strong on high ground at first. Outlook : Still a few showers on Monday. More showers with thunderstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday. Showers will ease off and it will become very hot in the latter part of next week.
