Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

Winds are weak and the weather is mainly fine over the coast
of Guangdong. Besides, the area of low pressure near Hainan
Island is bringing unsettled weather to the region.

At 2 a.m., Severe Typhoon Dolphin was centred about 270
kilometres east-northeast of Okinawa. It is forecast to move
west at about 18 kilometres per hour across the vicinity of
the Ryukyu Islands and enter the East China Sea.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly fine. The minimum temperature will be about 28
degrees in the morning. The maximum temperature will be
around 34 degrees in the urban areas during the day, and a
couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. It will be
extremely hot in some areas. Isolated showers and squally
thunderstorms later. Light winds, becoming moderate
westerlies later.

Outlook : High temperature weather will persist in the
following few days apart from isolated showers. Extremely
hot during the day over the weekend. Temperatures over parts
of the New Territories will reach 36 degrees or above.
