Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

The subtropical ridge covered southeastern China gradually
yesterday. Meanwhile, showers also affected the coast of
Guangdong. Locally, the weather was mainly fine apart from
isolated showers. It was very hot during the day.
Temperatures over many places rose to about 33 degrees. The
subtropical ridge is expected to cover southern China and
bring generally fine and very hot weather to the region
today and tomorrow.

Besides, the area of low pressure over the seas east of the
Philippines is intensifying gradually. A tropical cyclone
appears to be forming.

Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Thursday, 23 Jul 2026)

Mainly fine apart from one or two showers. The minimum
temperature will be about 28 degrees in the morning. Very
hot during the day with a maximum temperature of around 34
degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher
in the New Territories. Light to moderate southerly winds.

Outlook : Mainly fine and very hot on Friday. Sunny
intervals on Saturday. Windy with occasional squally showers
and thunderstorms later on Saturday to Sunday. There will be
swells.
