Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. Winds are weak over the coast of Guangdong. Meanwhile, showers are affecting the region. Besides, the area of low pressure over the northeastern part of the South China Sea has intensified into a tropical depression. At 10 a.m., the tropical depression was centred about 530 kilometres south-southwest of Gaoxiong. It is forecast to move northeast at about 25 kilometres per hour in the general direction of the vicinity of Taiwan. Weather forecast for today Very hot with sunny periods and a few showers. Light to moderate southwesterly winds. Outlook : Extremely hot tomorrow, temperatures in the New Territories can reach 36 to 37 degrees. A few showers and thunderstorms on Saturday, and still very hot in some areas. Occasional showers in the following couple of days. High temperature weather will be alleviated.
