Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. A southerly airstream is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Besides, the trough of low pressure over the northern part of southern China is bringing showers and thunderstorms to the region, and will edge closer to the coastal areas gradually today. At 2 a.m., Tropical Depression Hagupit was centred about 980 kilometres east of Manila. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the seas east of the Philippines and dissipating gradually. Weather forecast for today Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Showers will increase gradually with squally thunderstorms, and will be heavy in some areas. Temperatures will range between 25 and 29 degrees. Moderate south to southwesterly winds, fresh offshore and on high ground. Outlook : Occasional showers in the following couple of days. Showers will be heavier in some areas. Windy and there will still be a few showers early next week.
