Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. An area of intense thundery showers is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Besides, an easterly airstream is affecting the region. Tropical Storm Jangmi has intensified into a severe tropical storm. At 9 p.m, Jangmi was centred about 1180 kilometres south-southeast of Okinawa. It is forecast to move northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour across the western North Pacific to the east of the Philippines and intensify gradually. Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow Mainly cloudy with occasional showers and squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavy at first. Temperatures will range between 27 and 31 degrees tomorrow. Moderate east to northeasterly winds. Outlook : Sunny periods and a few showers in the following couple of days. Very hot midweek next week.
