Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. A broad trough of low pressure brought showers and thunderstorms to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea yesterday. Locally, it was mainly cloudy with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms. The weather was hot with sunny intervals during the day. Under the persistent influence of the broad trough of low pressure, there will be showers and thunderstorms over Guangdong today and tomorrow. With the trough of low pressure weakening and the subtropical ridge covering the coast of Guangdong gradually, showers will ease off gradually and it will become fine and very hot over the region in the middle and latter parts of this week. Weather forecast for Hong Kong Mainly cloudy with occasional showers and thunderstorms. Showers will be heavier in some areas. Temperatures will range between 27 and 30 degrees. Moderate southwesterly winds. Outlook : Showers will be heavier in some areas at first on Tuesday. There will still be a few showers on Wednesday. Becoming fine and very hot in the following couple of days.
