A broad trough of low pressure is bringing showers and thunderstorms to the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of Guangdong. Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight Mainly cloudy with a few showers and thunderstorms. Hot with sunny intervals in the afternoon. Showers will increase gradually, and will be heavy in some areas later. Light to moderate southwesterly winds. Outlook : Occasional showers and squally thunderstorms in the next couple of days. Showers will be heavy at times. Showers will ease off gradually midweek this week.
