Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. An anticyclone aloft is bringing generally fine weather and very hot to Guangdong. Locally, temperatures over most parts of the territory rose to 33 degrees or above in the afternoon. Severe Typhoon Surigae has intensified into a super typhoon. At 4 p.m., Surigae was centred about 110 kilometres southeast of Okinawa. It is forecast to move northeast at about 15 kilometres per hour across the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands. Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow Mainly fine. Cloudy periods in the morning and at night tomorrow. The minimum temperature will be about 28 degrees. Very hot during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 33 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Moderate southwesterly winds. Outlook : Mainly fine and very hot in the following couple of days. Sunny periods and still very hot during the day on the National Day. Cloudier with a few showers in the latter part of this week.
