Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. A broad trough of low pressure affected the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea yesterday. Locally, the weather was mainly cloudy with showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Showers were heavy at times. Around 70 millimetres of rainfall were generally recorded over the territory, and rainfall even exceeded 100 millimetres over Lantau Island, Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing District. Under the influence of the broad trough of low pressure, the weather over the coast of Guangdong is expected to remain unsettled with showers and thunderstorms for the rest of this week to early next week. Showers will be heavy at times. Weather forecast for Hong Kong Mainly cloudy with occasional showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavy at times at first. Temperatures will range between 25 and 29 degrees. Moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds, occasionally strong on high ground. Outlook : The weather will remain unsettled with occasional showers during the weekend to early next week.
