Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. The easterly airstream affecting the coast of Guangdong was gradually replaced by a southerly airstream today, and a band of clouds covered southern China. Locally, it was mainly cloudy with one or two showers today. There were bright periods during the day. The trough of low pressure now over central China is expected to develop into a cold front tomorrow morning, and move across the coast of Guangdong later tomorrow. There will be showers and squally thunderstorms over the region. Under the influence of the northeast monsoon in the following couple of days, the weather will be slightly cooler over Guangdong. Upper-air disturbances will bring showers to the region. Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Sunday, 3 May 2026) Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Temperatures will be about 25 degrees with sunny intervals in the morning. The maximum temperature will be around 28 degrees during the day. Moderate southerly winds. Showers will increase with squally thunderstorms later, and will be heavier in some areas. Becoming moderate northerly winds, occasionally fresh. Temperatures will fall progressively at night to a minimum of about 23 degrees at midnight. Outlook : Still a few showers on Monday and Tuesday. Slightly cooler in the morning with a minimum temperature of around 21 to 22 degrees. Temperatures will rise progressively in the following couple of days.
