Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. An intense northeast monsoon is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Meanwhile, a broad band of clouds is covering southern China. Weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight Mainly cloudy. Dry in the afternoon. Appreciably cooler tonight. Temperatures will fall to a minimum of around 16 degrees in the urban areas at midnight, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. One or two light rain patches. Fresh northerly winds, strong offshore and on high ground. Outlook : The minimum temperatures will be about 14 degrees in the urban areas tomorrow morning, and it will be cold over parts of the New Territories. The weather will become fine in the following few days. It will be very dry during the day. Daytime temperatures will rise progressively. However, it will remain cool in the morning.
