Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

The subtropical ridge is covering the coast of southern
China. Meanwhile, showers are affecting the region.

At 8 p.m., the tropical depression over the central part of
the South China Sea was centred about 480 kilometres
east-southeast of Xisha. It is forecast to move
west-northwest at about 22 kilometres per hour in the
general direction of the vicinity of Hainan Island.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Mainly cloudy with a few showers. The minimum temperature
will be about 28 degrees tomorrow morning. Very hot with
sunny periods during the day. The maximum temperature will
be around 33 degrees. Moderate east to southeasterly winds,
occasionally fresh offshore later.

Outlook : Winds will strengthen and showers will increase
gradually on Friday. There will be swells. It will be windy
with occasional heavy showers and squally thunderstorms on
Saturday. The weather will remain unsettled in the following
couple of days.
