Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. An active southerly airstream and upper-air disturbances are bringing thundery showers to Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Locally, more than 30 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over many places at night. At 8 p.m., Super Typhoon Bavi was centred about 820 kilometres north of Yap. It is forecast to move west at about 25 kilometres per hour across the western North Pacific. Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow Mainly cloudy with occasional showers and squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavy at times. Temperatures will range between 26 and 30 degrees. Moderate to fresh southerly winds, occasionally strong on high ground at first. Outlook : There will still be more showers at first on Thursday, but showers will ease off gradually later. Extremely hot in some areas on Friday and Saturday, mainly fine but hazy.
