Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.

A southerly airstream is bringing showers and thunderstorms
to the coast of Guangdong.

At 8 a.m., Tropical Storm Narra was centred about 290
kilometres west-southwest of Haikou. It is forecast to be
slow-moving, lingering over the vicinity of Beibu Wan.
Meanwhile, Severe Typhoon Saudel was centred about 340
kilometres east of Okinawa. It is forecast to move
west-northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour towards the
vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands. Tropical Depression Atsani
was centred about 720 kilometres south-southwest of Iwo
Jima. It is forecast to move north at about 18 kilometres
per hour across the western North Pacific.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly cloudy with a few showers. More showers in some areas
with squally thunderstorms at first. Hot with sunny
intervals during the day. The maximum temperature will be
around 32 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of
degrees higher in the New Territories. Moderate south to
southwesterly winds, occasionally fresh.

Outlook : There will be occasional showers and squally
thunderstorms in the next couple of days. Showers will be
heavier in some areas. Becoming very hot with one or two
showers on Friday.
