Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. A broad trough of low pressure is bringing showers to the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of Guangdong. At 6 a.m., the tropical storm over the vicinity of Beibu Wan was centred about 260 kilometres northwest of Haikou. It is forecast to be slow-moving, lingering over the vicinity of Beibu Wan. Weather forecast for today Mainly cloudy with a few showers. More showers with isolated squally thunderstorms at first. Sunny intervals during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 32 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Moderate south to southwesterly winds, occasionally fresh offshore. Outlook : More showers in some areas later tomorrow. Showers and squally thunderstorms in the following couple of days, windier in some areas.
