Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. The northeast monsoon affected Guangdong today and a band of clouds covered the coastal areas. Locally, it was mainly cloudy. The weather was slightly cooler with one or two light rain patches in the morning. Temperatures in the urban areas were generally around 19 to 20 degrees, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. The band of clouds thinned out and there were sunny intervals during the day. The weather is expected to be generally fine over the coast of Guangdong tomorrow. A trough of low pressure will develop gradually over central China on Monday and edge closer to the coastal areas of southern China in the following couple of days, bringing showers and squally thunderstorms to the region. Weather forecast for Hong Kong (Sunday, 26 Apr 2026) Mainly cloudy. The minimum temperature will be about 23 degrees in the morning. Hot with sunny periods during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 28 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Moderate east to northeasterly winds. Outlook : Hot during the day on Monday. A few showers later. The weather will be unsettled in the following couple of days. There will be more showers with thunderstorms.
