Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. Under the influence of an anticyclone aloft, the weather is generally fine over Guangdong. Besides, the northeast monsoon is affecting the coastal areas gradually. At 8 p.m., Super Typhoon Champi was centred about 910 kilometres northeast of Manila. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour across the western North Pacific towards the seas east of Taiwan. Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow Cloudy periods and one or two rain patches overnight. The minimum temperature will be about 25 degrees tomorrow morning. Mainly fine, hot and dry during the day. The maximum temperature will be around 32 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees higher in the New Territories. Moderate north to northeasterly winds, fresh offshore and on high ground at first. Outlook : Mainly fine for the rest of this week to early next week. The temperature difference between day and night will be relatively large. Very dry, and very hot in some areas during the day on Friday and Saturday.
