9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: A trough of low pressure will edge closer to the coast of southern China gradually today and tomorrow. Meanwhile, under the influence of upper-air disturbances, there will be heavy showers and squally thunderstorms over the region. The trough of low pressure is expected to linger over the northern part of the South China Sea during the weekend. A fresh to strong easterly airstream will affect eastern Guangdong. There will still be showers over the region. A hot southerly airstream will gradually affect the coast of Guangdong early to midweek next week. Besides, Tropical Cyclone Hagupit will linger over the seas east of the Philippines and dissipate gradually today.
