9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: Heavy showers and squally thunderstorms associated with an active southwest monsoon and a trough of low pressure will continue to affect the coast of southern China tomorrow. The trough of low pressure will linger over the vicinity of the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea in the following couple of days. The weather will remain unsettled over the region. The subtropical ridge over the western North Pacific is expected to extend westwards in the latter part of this week. Showers will ease off gradually over Guangdong. The weather will improve on Tuen Ng Festival to early next week. It will become very hot over inland areas.
