9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: Tropical Cyclone Wutip will make landfall near Leizhou Peninsula tomorrow, then move across the vicinity of Guangdong-Guangxi boundary. Its associated rainbands will affect the coast of southern China in the next couple of days. There will be heavy squally showers and thunderstorms over the region. It will be windy with swells. Wutip will depart from the coastal areas and weaken gradually early next week. However, under the influence of a southerly airstream and upper-air disturbances, there will still be occasional heavy showers and thunderstorms over Guangdong. An anticyclone aloft is expected to strengthen gradually in the middle and latter parts of next week. The weather over Guangdong will improve and it will be hot.
