9-Day Weather Forecast General Situation: A trough of low pressure will continue to linger over the coast of southern China to the northern part of the South China Sea today. There will be occasional heavy showers and squally thunderstorms over the region. With the trough of low pressure weakening and the subtropical ridge covering southern China, showers will ease off gradually and the weather will become very hot over Guangdong in the following few days. A broad trough of low pressure is expected to bring showers and thunderstorms to the coast of southern China and the central and northern parts of the South China Sea in the latter part of this week.
