South China Coastal Waters

Weather Situation:
A westerly airstream is affecting the south China coastal
waters.

At 10 a.m., Tropical Storm Krovanh with maximum sustained
winds of about 75 kilometres per hour near its centre was
located at 27.4 degrees north, 126.6 degrees east. It is
forecast to move south at about 15 kilometres per hour
lingering over the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands.

Area forecasts for the next 24 hours

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
West to southwest force 3 to 4.
Isolated showers.
Slight to moderate seas.

Nan'ao:
West force 4, occasionally force 5.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Moderate seas.

Shanwei, South of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao:
West to southwest force 4, occasionally force 5.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Moderate seas.

Outlook for the following 48 hours 
West to southwesterly winds of force 4, occasionally force
5. Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
