South China Coastal Waters

Weather Situation:
A southerly airstream is affecting the south China coastal
waters.

At 5 a.m., Severe Tropical Storm Jangmi with maximum
sustained winds of about 105 kilometres per hour near its
centre was located at 28.5 degrees north, 128.7 degrees
east, it is forecast to move northeast at about 36
kilometres per hour towards the vicinity of the southern
part of Honshu of Japan.

Area forecasts for the next 24 hours

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
South to southwest force 4.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Moderate seas.

Nan'ao and Shanwei:
South to southwest force 4, occasionally force 5.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Moderate seas.

South of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao:
South to southwest force 4.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Moderate seas.

Outlook for the following 48 hours 
South to southwesterly winds of force 4, occasionally force
