The Year’s Weather – 2024
2024 was Hong Kong’s warmest year on record, with the annual mean temperature reaching 24.8°C, 1.3°C above normal. Eleven months of the year were warmer than usual, including the record-breaking monthly mean temperatures of April and October. (More……)
Latest Developments in Global Climate Change
According to the latest data from the World Meteorological Organization, 2024 was the warmest year on record, with the global mean surface temperature about 1.55°C higher than pre-industrial levels, marking the first time this temperature difference has exceeded 1.5°C. The past decade (2015-2024) was also the world’s warmest decade on record. (More……)
