Delegation from the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Visits the Hong Kong Observatory

On 19 May 2025, a delegation from the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) visited the Hong Kong Observatory. Colleagues from the Observatory engaged in in-depth discussions with the delegation on a wide-range of topics, including meteorological forecasting technologies, airborne detection systems, monitoring and forecasting of icing and strong winds, and cutting-edge applications of numerical weather prediction and machine learning in meteorology. Both parties expressed enthusiasm for deepening their partnership to advance technological innovation.
