Observatory Delegation Visits Zhuhai Meteorological Bureau

Dr Chan Pak-wai, the Director of the Hong Kong Observatory, and Ms Lam Ching-chi, Senior Scientific Officer, visited the Zhuhai Meteorological Bureau on 15 July 2025, for exchanges and discussions. They discussed matters such as the joint construction and sharing of meteorological equipment, data exchanges, collaboration in forecasting operations, and support for major events. Seizing the opportunity arising through providing meteorological support for the National Games road cycling event, they will further enhance the meteorological services for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and strengthen operational exchanges on significant weather processes.

A delegation from the Hong Kong Observatory visited the Zhuhai Meteorological Bureau for a meeting. Dr Chan Pak-wai, the Director of the Hong Kong Observatory (sixth from left), and Ms Lam Ching-chi, Senior Scientific Officer (fifth from left), were led by Mr Zhao Yongli, the Director of the Zhuhai Meteorological Bureau (fifth from right), on a tour of the Forecasting and Warning Operational Platform of the Zhuhai Meteorological Bureau.
